I got my package in the mail went home and that night applied the eye cream as directed and boy was I in for a surprise... it stung... really bad though it went away after a minute it was still enough to make me uncomfortable. Keep in mind I don't generally have sensitive skin or have never experienced this type of sting from any other cream before. I thought to myself ok this is weird however maybe this means its working. I continued to use it for 2 weeks hoping it would be different with each use but it stung each and every time.
I went back to the pamphlet inside the big waste of space box and read it to see if it said anything about stinging. I couldn't find anything so I hit the Internet to read reviews and was shocked when after reading about 10 reviews no one mentioned anything about the burning/stinging sensation so perhaps I got a bad batch?
Whats weird is that it doesn't sting if I apply it anywhere but under my eyes. The consistency and texture of this eye cream is pretty much like all others, a little goes a long way and it isn't super thick which is nice.
Either way I didn't notice any big difference in my under eye area with fine lines or dark circles which for the $95 they are asking for this product I was expecting to see. I discontinued use as the stinging was really bothering me and have emailed the company to ask if this is normal or what they suggest.
What I liked:
- the fact that it is paraben free
- the first ingredient listed is Aqua which is always good.
- burning/stinging feeling upon application
- size of the box for such a small product (waste of materials in my opinion)
- size of product - the bottle is only 15ml
- the cost of $95.00
